Black Tourmaline
Raw black tourmaline (schorl) with the long vertical striations characteristic of the mineral — those parallel grooves that run the length of the crystal are not damage, they are the mineral's growth signature.
Black tourmaline is one of the most electrically complex minerals in nature. It is piezoelectric (generates charge under pressure) and pyroelectric (generates charge with temperature change). This physical reality underpins its reputation as a protective stone — it interacts with energy in measurable, if subtle, ways.
A cornerstone of any crystal collection. Place it at doorways, corners of a room, or carry it in a pocket.
